Secusmart is one company encryption software owned by BlackBerry. The company announced the SecuTABLET in collaboration with IBM and Samsung for CeBIT 2015 (16-20 March).
Secusmart has worked closely with BlackBerry and Samsung to improve Android adoption with additional tools for secure mobile management devices. Samsung's latest smartphone, the Galaxy S6, comes pre-loaded with software developed in collaboration with BlackBerry and aimed at professional users.
So BlackBerry's Secusmart announced the SecuTABLET, a variant of the Galaxy Tab 10.5 S that features several improvements security. The tablet is aimed at businesses and governments that have special security requirements.
The SecuTABLET is currently undergoing certification by the German Federal Office for Information Security for official use in the country. The tablet also has a level of encryption for critical applications applications, using a solution developed by IBM.
The hardware, however, is no different from what is used by the regular Galaxy Tab 10.5 S. SecuTabLet however costs almost four times the price of the first, due to the added security and support of the Secusmart contract.
The price of the new product has not been revealed as well as when it will be available to the general public.
