Sleep Number is a company that is coming to change the way we sleep. At the International Consumer Electronics Show on Tuesday, Sleep Number unveiled the x12, a mattress that not only has built-in sensors that monitor how well you and your partner slept, but can respond to voice calls. commands, to stop a snoring with a massage.
X12, which will start selling in some markets next month and in the US from next year, has built-in sensors that track your movements and give biofeedback to smart everyday home appliances such as TVs and devices connected to a network.
With SleepIQ technology, as the company calls it, it tracks movement in bed, average breathing rate and heart rate to determine how well you slept. The x12 mattress with SleepIQ can work together via an app to track anything that might be affecting sleep, like diet, exercise, caffeine or a sick child. With base biometrics information, the mattress will rank you on a sleep scoreboard and suggest different firmness settings and supports that will help improve sleep.
