Chakra GNU/Linux is a distribution that uses the latest KDE software. So OS users can from today have the KDE Plasma 5.7.5 as a desktop environment, which is the last maintenance release of the Plasma 5.7 series before the release of KDE Plasma 5.8 LTS.
In addition, Chakra GNU/Linux users will be able to update to the new KDE Applications 16.08.1 software suite as well as the collection add-ons for Qt5 of KDE Framework 5.26.0.
As part of today’s update, distribution users will also be able to have a new kernei which has been upgraded to Linux kernel 4.5.7. We hope that the GNU / Linux Chakra developers will soon adopt the Linux 4.6 kernel.
