Η cooling system policy or System cooling policy is an option in the power supply that allows you to specify the cooling function you want to use in your processor.
The choices of the cooling policy of your system that are given to you are as follows:
- Active = First increase the speed of the processor fan to cool it, and slow down the processor to cool only as a last resort.
- Passive = Decelerate the processor first to cool down, and use the fan speed increase for cooling only as a last resort.

1. Right-click in the lower left corner of your screen and in the new window click on "Control Panel"
2. In the Dashboard, click on "Power Options"
3. On the new screen, click on "Change Design Settings" corresponding to the drawing you are currently running and which is marked with a black dot 
4. On the new screen, click on "Change Advanced Power Supply Settings" 
5. In the new window, go to the sidebar until you find "Processor Power Management" and click on the [+] cross in front of the sentence to expand the options. The "System Cooling Policy" option will be revealed. Click the [+] cross on it to expand the sub-options.
6. the Setup option will appear: Active . Click on "Active" to see the "Passive”And choose the one you want. 
7. Select the desired function and press OK. That's it. You have made the setting you want.

1. Press Win + R to display the "Run" window. Type the word regedit there and press the OK button.
2. The Registry window opens. Find the following:

3. Right-click on the left side of the window and click Create> DWORD Value (32 bit) 
4. Name the new parameter "Attributes" and then double click on it to give it the value you want. You only accept the values 1 or 2 and they mean: 1 = Subtract and 2 = Show. 
5. If we select the value 1 [Remove] and simply close the regedit window (the data they are saved by a simple press of the X in the upper right corner of the window) and then we go to configure “Processor power management” > “system cooling policy” we will see that it no longer appears as an option. If we give Attributes the value 2 or simply delete Attributes from the registry we will see that it will reappear.
