Η Google κυκλοφόρησε την έκδοση 77 (Chrome 77) του προγράμματος περιήγησης Google Chrome για τους χρήστες των Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, Android and iOS.
The new version includes an enhanced UI that removes the pointer to EV (extended validation) from the browser's address bar.
Google considers the EV indicators to be of no use to the security and authenticity of the websites and has removed them from the new version. Many security researchers have agreed with Google's decision.
Information from EV will still be available, but will not be displayed to users in the URL bar.

Developers can use the new tool to count the time it takes Chrome to load a readable version of a site while the rest of the site is still loading.
Another news feature that comes with Chrome 77 will allow system administrators to impose settings on Chrome browsers running within a business.
Ο Chrome 77 φέρνει μια νέα πολιτική που ονομάζεται "BrowserGuestModeEnforced".
