Who are the potential competitors of Android and iOS?

Android and iOS are both Operating Systems located in the vast majority of 1 billion smartphone currently used worldwide.

Except of the Windows Phone trying to get a good share of the market with the power of Microsoft (and the 7,4 billion investment in the corresponding part of Nokia), there are a number of other ventures, but with different motivations or even arguments.
