A group of hackers from Italy calling themselves OrangeSec claim to have managed to implement Microsoft's Cortana digital assistant on Android. They named their project "Portaña" or "ported" in English, from the transfer from the Microsoft platform to the Android platform.
However, there are some limitations. Portaña obviously speaks only in Italian. He also can not work offline and the reason is because Portaña obviously needs to contact Microsoft servers.
The hackers were not able to recreate all the features of the digital assistant, but it can be seen from the following video that they managed to borrow some of them.
So Portaña can not interconnect and integrate with Android with all its features as it has Cortana person Windows Phone.
The OrangeSec team just muddled CoRana's backend to create a basic but functional Android helper. In other words, Portaña is quite entertaining, but it's not Cortana.
The team could try to expand Portaña's feature set, but it seems to be more of one creation by fans eagerly awaiting its official release.
They just wanted to show what is possible with a small intervention without trying to compete with the company.
There are rumors that want Microsoft to plan to bring CoRana on third-party platforms, especially on Android and iOS. The company has not confirmed or defied any of the rumors.
