According to decision, starting with 2015, those who verify that they are downloading illegal content from the Internet will receive up to four letters of warning explaining that their actions are illegal. However, if the warnings are ignored, nothing will happen.

Creative Content UK (Creative Content UK) is the result of a collaboration between British Internet service providers, politicians and companies in the film and music industry. Major providers such as BT, Virgin, Sky, and TalkTalk have already signed the deal, and the rest are expected to join soon.

The government pledged to fund the program with 3.500.000 £ which is essentially a piracy awareness campaign.

Basically, the Creative Content of the UK consists of two strands. One of these is the alert system that will handle the letters sent to the subscribers, as mentioned above, while the second part concerns an awareness-raising campaign led by content creators. Its purpose is to combat online copyright infringement through education.

The rationale is that consumer information on intellectual property issues will help shape a future generation of internet users who respect the regulations.

Το Creative Content του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου ιδρύθηκε από την Motion Picture , the British Record Industry, as well as BT, Sky Broadband, TalkTalk and Virgin Media which are internet service providers. The move is also backed by the BBC, Equity, Pact the Premier League, UK Music and others.
