The Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate informs citizens about fraudulent websites and fraudulent e-mails, sent to users of the internet and promise big profits from allegedly fixed football matches.
The content of e-mails promises recipients, instantly and easily, large profits from betting on football matches, asking them to create a personal account on specific betting websites.
The purpose of e-mails is to persuade citizens to participate in wagering and in order to collect their alleged earnings, to deposit large amounts of money into the accounts of unknown offenders.

With these messages, unknown actors try to deceive the recipients in order to extract large amounts of money from them.
In particular, the perpetrators through the above emails promise recipients, instantly and easily, large profits from betting on football matches that are supposed to know and ask the recipients to create personal user accounts on specific websites where the perpetrators show virtually large sums of money for alleged winnings from proposed matches.
For the alleged disbursement of these earnings, citizens are asked to deposit large amounts of money into the accounts of the perpetrators, to cover the expenses of those who helped in the process and the successful prediction.
In fact, only one e-mail address is given as a contact information to these messages, without ever having any other contact information (mobile or fixed telephone, etc.).
In view of the above, the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office recommends to Internet users:

Do not respond and do not respond to such emails, through which even personal data or financial data may be requested.

Do not subscribe to websites that promise big winnings from betting on supposedly soccer matches, since this, in addition to prosecuting offenders, can also lead to criminal prosecution against them.

Examine the validity and authenticity of the websites before creating any personal account.

Do not trust online strangers who promise profits.
