Cyber Monday after Black Friday: Consumer blackmail of Black Friday or Black Friday is over. Black Friday is a purely American idea that has been adopted by many other countries. It is the day following Thanksgiving Day, which falls Thursday.
Black Friday is nothing but an advertising campaign and a method marketing followed by large and small businesses, or so to speak better as many businesses as can afford to advertising.
For those of you who did not have a Friday to delay your consumer mania, here is another genuine ancient Greek custom. It's called Cyber Monday and we'll leave the irony comments to call internet Monday, institution, as its organizers want it.
What is Cyber Monday:
Cyber Monday refers to an entire week of E-Commerce. This week you will find "attractive" offers from many Greek online stores.
Those who are interested can "experience" the online shopping experience directly from their couch, for a whole week…. and whoever lasts!
Of course the week is organized by the Hellenic Electronic Commerce Association, GR.EC.A. It organizes it for the fifth consecutive year and is under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Development. This year, the "celebration week" will run from Friday, December 1st to Thursday, December 7th.
"E-Commerce Week is held to the standards of the American Cyber Monday, while many other countries such as England, Germany, Australia, etc. organize corresponding days. In this festive period, the online B2C turnover increases significantly, while at the same time the beginning of the Christmas shopping is marked ", the organizers report, and claim that Cyber Monday is already an institution…
So we got another "custom" that aims at the money that is left in our pockets, after the black friday, tax payments and banks. In fact, this time the "institution" is under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Development.
