It is an application for Smartphones, called Cyberkid, which is innovative and global. This application enables children to communicate instantly and in real time in case of danger or threat with officers of the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office through the use of a Cyber Alert (Touchscreen Call) process, but also by sending e-mail message. Officers will manage the threat or threat that comes from the Internet through modern processes and through a CYBER ALERT, a modern CIVIL ALERT, which will have its headquarters in the Electronic Crime Prosecution Division.

The Minister of Public Order and Citizen Protection Mr. Vasilis Kikilias highlighted the novelty of this action, which is being put into operation today: "We start a very important action with our teammate the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. The protection of minors is our first priority. Children's safety on the road, at home, at school, on the internet is non-negotiable. The risks are many and we ought to be ahead to prevent and prevent. And with this application that we are now putting at the service of children, we offer them an "electronic angel" to protect and warn them. Science is running, new methods are here, at our disposal, global crime can not try to find ways to force it to escape, and the Greek Police to stay back to other times.

It is extremely impressive that the Officers of the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate managed to utilize the data of και να δημιουργήσουν μία καινοτόμο ιδέα. Είναι μία αξιέπαινη προσπάθεια που είμαι βέβαιος ότι θα φέρει μετρήσιμα αποτελέσματα και πολύ σύντομα».

Brigadier General Manolis Sfakianakis, referring to the targets set by the Cybercrime Division for the exploitation of this application, said: "We expect this application to be downloaded by 500.000 mobile phone users within the next two months, and 3.500.000 users will be able to reach one year of operation. The development of the special process for Greek children through Cyber Alert is not only a European but also a global innovation ».

Collaboration of the Ministries of Public Order and Citizen Protection and Education and Religious Affairs to establish Safe Internet Navigation as an ongoing information action in all schools

At the initiative of the Ministry of Public Order and Citizens Protection through the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate and with the cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Safe Internet Navigation is established as a continuous informative action in schools.

In this context, with the start of the new school year, specialized Special Duties Officers, who hold master's and doctorate degrees, will connect via the internet once a week, at the same time, with 50 schools in the territory where they will present themselves in a way that is understandable and accessible to students the dangers of the Internet, protection from them and safe dealing with them. THE of the schools will be done by a special team of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs depending on the class and the region they wish to attend.

Referring to the need to implement this initiative, Mr. Kikilias said:Our goal is, using the same technology we are called upon to protect, to reach each school, every corner of the country, and to inform students about the delinquency of the offense. We say yes to the internet but we want all students to know what sexual harassment is, what cyber bullying is and how to manage and protect sensitive personal material from their photos to security codes».

For his part, the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Andreas Loverdos, stressed the following:The Ministry of Education has put the 450 schools into the pilot project and will also provide 12.000 schools today with the service of this truly commendable action envisioned and executed by Mr. Sfakianakis. We will help because we believe it. We will help because the social school, as we say, is in the top priority of this leadership. That is, the protection against cybercrime, sexual education, the sport through which we can deal with obesity, which reigns, childhood obesity, visual arts. It's in our field of view and I'm going back to the front line of our agenda. We will be next to this action, we will help.

The message we are sending through this action, beyond what the Minister of Public Order and Citizen Protection said, is that there is no mercy on the people who exploit the childhood and the inexperience of our children and treat them with this barbaric way. Yesterday, we had a very typical incident about the usefulness of this action in Serres with the arrest of a particular criminal who suffered a child of 12 years».

Subsequently, the Deputy Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Alexandros Dermentzopoulos stressed, among other things, that:At a time when internet and technology are generally growing rapidly, cybercrime is rapidly changing and progressing. M so with the same weapons, the same way must be done to deal with it. And here you will allow Ministers to give public congratulations on the route, successes and successes to Mr. Sfakianakis as Director of the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate. Aall of these are a guarantee of what they are going to achieve with what is today announced and actually put into operation.

The Minister of Education said that as a Ministry we embrace this initiative. I would like to add that we are not just embracing it, not just adopting it, but also entering a little further ahead of what we could be. We believe that the Greek family today, where every computer in every home is a potential risk to children, will really be a safe haven for all those who enter the Internet. In conclusion I would like to say a very big thank you for what facilitates us in our work, at the Ministry of Public Order and Citizen Protection. And be sure that good results will be immediately visible. Already yesterday, as the Minister said, we have had a great success. "

Mr. Brigadier General developing the overall action of the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate regarding the holding of information days on the dangers of the internet inthe following: "Our Service is trying to implement innovative actions. After agreement with the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, we have obtained the approval of the interconnection of our teleconferences with the pupils of the Primary, High and High Schools through the school network.

It is a move to ensure that daytime conferences take place in schools across the Greek territory at the same time, enabling thousands of students to attend it. I recall that the 2013-2014 school year made 450 workshops in various schools in our country.

Our interconnection to the school network is the next stage of this action and meets a basic demand from the school community, as it has been taught by dozens of teachers, teachers, and educational counselors. "

The Minister of Public Order and Citizen Protection announced other actions, among which is the operation of a modern Cyber Threat Management Center (CYBER ALERT), which will operate within the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate with officers and psychologists, as well as the distribution of ten information leaflets with advice on and Internet use. Concluding his speech, Mr. Kikilias stated: "I thank the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs that has been staying at the beginning of this effort alongside the Greek Police. It is an effort that has been successfully crowned by the constant effort, perseverance and patience of all Executives of the Electronic Crime Division. We thank them and support them in their every action. "

It is noted that Cyberkid is an initiative of the Ministry of Public Order and Citizen Protection and the Hellenic Police Headquarters, implemented by the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office in the framework of information and awareness raising for children aged up to 18 years, and their parents about the security in Internet.
