The attacks took place in the US, Canada and Thailand on July 5, and on the same day AlphaBay's website on Dark Web was mysterious.
The authorities refused to comment on the matter, but the Wall Street Journal claims that an internal source has confirmed that AlphaBay was closed after law enforcement intervened.
Two Police raids appear to have taken place at residences in the Canadian city of Trois-Rivières, and another raid at a business address in Montreal. No arrests were made, but it was confiscated latest technology equipments.

Meanwhile, former AlphaBay vendors and users started to flush to other Dark Web markets. According to DeepDotWeb, a Dark Web site, the three most popular Dark Web markets after the closing of AlphaBay are: RAMP (Russian), Dream Market and Hansa Market.
