Bitcoin continues to take one hit after another. The service repchangeς Bitcoin, Bitstamp announced the suspension of its services as it was experiencing denial-of-service (DoS) attacks.
Her services companys have been suspended due to “inconsistent results reported in its customers’ bitcoin wallets. The “inconsistent results” were caused by an ongoing denial-of-service attack that managed to “temporarily stop transaction control.”
The company reports that its customers' deposits are not at risk. The withdrawals of 10 and 11 in February were canceled.
According to Bitstamp's security team, the DDoS attack caused some "misunderstandings in bitcoin wallet applications." An update code software that should address these misconceptions is being prepared.
The Bitcoins exchange service says its services will be back "soon".
Greek Andreas Antonopoulos, Blockchain CSO, told TribLIVE that they received an "annoying attack" that slowed down Bitstamp's accounting system and transactions.
