The Debian Project has informed the community that security support for the functional Debian system GNU / Linux 7 “Wheezy” came to an end on April 25, 2016.
What does this mean for Debian 7?
Security support for the entire Debian GNU/Linux 7 “Wheezy” series has been handed over to the Debian LTS (Long Term Support), η οποία θα παρέχει κρίσιμες ενημερωμένες εκδόσεις στον κώδικα ασφαλείας και ενημερώσεις λογισμικού για τους users who have installed the operating system for the next two years, starting today, April 26, 2016, until May 31, 2018.
"On April 25th, one year after the release of Debian 8 “Jessie”, and almost three years after the release of Debian 7 “Wheezy”, regular support with security updates for Wheezy it has come to an end. The Debian Long Term Support (LTS) department will support security releases", Says the Debian Project announcement.
