A worrying new trend has emerged in schools in Spain. Fake nude photos of underage girls are circulating created by artificial intelligence.
At region of Extremadura, located near Seville, Miriam Al Adib reported serious misconduct on Instagram of minors in the schools of the area. The creation and circulation of nude images of her teenage daughter and not only her own but other parents' daughters as well.
Five secondary schools have reported similar incidents, prompting the local police in Almendralejo to launch an investigation. Several alleged creators of the photos have already been identifiedgraphics montage and the case has been handed over to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
Offenders can potentially face serious charges such as creating child pornography, distributing the images and extortion, all of which will result in varying degrees of punishment.
The news is quite alarming, not only for the youth of Spain but also for the whole of Europe, since the delinquent behavior of minors has started to flare up.
