Although 2015 purchases through smartphones within stores will increase more than 1.000 per cent compared to last year, the mobile wallet will not yet replace the traditional wallet. However, 2015 is characterized as a "turning point for widespread adoption of smartphone payments within stores" by Deloitte.
Five times the sales of printed books against e-books
According to the 14th edition of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu's Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Forecasts Limited (Deloitte Global) for the next 12-18 months, printed books will continue to dominate the publishing industry. They will account for 80 percent of all book sales.
Smartphone: The market is not shrinking yet
Moreover, unlike previous industry forecasts that smartphone sales are no longer rising, Deloitte Global predicts that there will be one billion upgrades to 2015, indicating that the market is not declining yet.

The past year marked the move away from the trend of the last decade of 'consumerizing' information technology (IT) - for example, with the modest acceptance of 'wearable' technology, such as smart goggles by consumers. 2015, however, Deloitte Global predicts that business innovation will lead to the adoption of "costly" products, 3D printers, drones and Internet of Things, meeting more needs and creating higher sales for businesses.
