Deluge 2.0.0 cross-platform has just been released

Deluge is a complete application (client) that is released as a cross-platform, i.e. for many different operating systems. It is Free Software, released under the GNU GPLv3 + license, and follows the freedesktop standards, which allows it to work in many different desktop environments.

Deluge features many common features with other well-known BitTorrent clients such as Protocol Encryption, DHT, Local Peer Discovery (LSD), Peer Exchange (PEX), UPnP, NAT-PMP, Proxy support, Web seeds, global and per-torrent speed limits.

The Deluge application uses the well-known library libtorrent, and so there is a huge list of features provided.

Deluge

The Deluge app is designed to work as a regular standalone desktop program but also as a server (you know the seedboxes). In Thinclient mode, one application handles all BitTorrent activity and is able to run on remote systems from any other platform.

User interfaces
There are three main user interfaces (UIs):

    GTK UI for desktop.
    Web UI for the browser.
    UI command line console.

We should mention the BitTorrent application has a rich collection of that will help you make the most of Deluge and expand its functionality. All Plugins have been developed by members of the De | uge community.

The 2.0.0 version is currently only available for Linux systems and has not been officially announced (will be announced in the next few hours).
