For some time now the German company Denuvo has been making quite a bit of money money με το λογισμικό πρόληψης της πειρατείας σε video games.
However, it appears that its revenue will decrease in the next period.
TorrentFreak reports that a Bulgarian hacker known as Voksi has discovered a way of bypassing the technology used by Denuvo, which has allowed the public to play pirated game replicas such as Doom and Just Cause 3. However, this gap was soon closed.
Now, a group of hackers called CONSPIR4CY have managed to completely break the protection of Rise of the Tomb Raider, a Square Enix game released in January. The pirate version of the game is released on too many file sharing websites along with three DLC add-ons.
Of course, the fact is a huge blow to Denuvo's reputation, although it is worth noting that so far only one game has been broken, and it is unclear how long it took the hackers to break it (though it does not matter the moment he broke it).
This proves that nothing is secure, and that there can be no keys to the internet. There will always be people looking for ways to beat it system and some of them will make it.
