The Devuan project is known for rebuilding its distribution Debian removing systemd and all its related components.
Today the developers of the project announced the availability of the first beta snapshot of the version Devuan 3.0.0, codenamed "Beowulf":
“Devuan 3 'Beowulf' release ready for testing, what's new in 'Beowulf'?
Changes in su - su's behavior has changed. Use 'su -' to go to root, or use the full path in your commands if you only use 'su',
PressAudio - if you do not have audio, make sure /etc/pulse/client.conf.d/00-disable-autospawn.conf is commented as # autospawn = no;
The ESR version of Firefox no longer requires PulseAudio, and you can easily remove it. If you do, just use ALSA.
Devuan 3 'Beowulf' is available for platforms i386, amd64, armel, armhf, arm64 and ppc64el. Details on upgrading your system from release Devuan 'ASCII' in the latest version Devuan 3 'Beowulf ” are available here. "
