The highly anticipated Watch Dogs deals with the digital/interconnected nature of modern life, with the player being asked to complete missions in an "open" futuristic urban environment where everything is interconnected. The hero, who is embodied by the player, is a hacker who moves in the Chicago of the near future, hacking the central CtOS to achieve its purposes.

Η εφαρμογή αναλύει επίσης τη λίστα φίλων και τους χωρίζει σε διαφορετικές κατηγορίες: stalkers (αυτοί με τους οποίους ο χρήστης αλληλεπιδρά συχνά), liabilities (αυτοί οι οποιοι τον κάνουν tag συχνά σε ), obsessions (those who don't respond when the user comments on their posts), and scapegoats (users with whom the user doesn't interact much).

Digital Shadow analyzes how often the user makes publications, what kind of content they are and where they are. He also makes estimates of his mood and character while trying to guess his income level and his code.

Although, as noted in the report, the accuracy of the application with respect to these latter features does not seem to be too high, it is certainly a matter of reflection on what may be the disclosure of many personal data and data on Facebook and more generally on the Internet .
