Digital Shadow: How much of your life do you share on Facebook?

The ability to see how much information about his life is "shared" on Facebook a user provides the application Digital Shadow, which was created as part of the promotion of the Watch Dogs video game, expected to be released shortly.

The highly anticipated Watch Dogs deals with the digital/interconnected nature of modern life, with the player being asked to complete missions in an "open" futuristic urban environment where everything is interconnected. The hero, who is embodied by the player, is one who moves around near-future Chicago, hacking the central CtOS system to achieve his goals.

Η στην εφαρμογή γίνεται μέσω του λογαριασμού στο Facebook (ωστόσο για κάποιον λόγο δεν φαίνεται να είναι δυνατή από την ). Όπως αναφέρεται σε δημοσίευμα του Business , once the user enters it, photos uploaded by him or other users are displayed. The application also analyzes the list of friends and divides them into different categories: stalkers (those with whom the user often interacts), liabilities (those who frequently tag him in posts), obsessions (those who do not respond when the user comments in their posts) and scapegoats (users with whom the user does not interact much).

Digital Shadow analyzes how often the user posts, what type they post and where they post from. It also proceeds toabout his mood and character, while also trying to guess his income and code.

Although, as noted in the report, the accuracy of the application with respect to these latter features does not seem to be too high, it is certainly a matter of reflection on what may be the disclosure of many personal data and data on Facebook and more generally on the Internet .
