DigitalOcean began informing its customers that the from today it is public. Company CEO Yancey Spruill states in his email:

Today is an important milestone in by DigitalOcean – we are now officially a public company on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: DOCN).

You are and will continue to be the foundation and inspiration for what we do, because our mission is to simplify cloud computing so that developers and businesses can spend more time creating software that changes the world.

We will expand our global footprint to help even more developers and entrepreneurs around the world realize the benefits of cloud computing. And we will continue to grow and expandus in our community.

As part of our IPO, we announce our commitment to join the 1% Pledge movement. Pledge 1% is a global move by companies to commit a portion of their capital to serving their communities.

We're committing at least $50 million over the next 10 years to expand the Hub for Good program, which we're rebranding as Hollie's Hub for Good. The program honors Hollie Haggans, a beloved member of the DigitalOcean team and champion of our community who passed away earlier this month, and represents our commitment to our community to come together to solve its challenges .
