The Hacking Team doulCi, comprised of MerrukTechnolog & AquaXetine, have managed to bypass Apple iCloud Lock failsafe Enable, allowing users with locked devices to run them again. The news may sound very good at first, but the group hack actually bypasses a security measure aimed at preventing iPhone theft.
The doulCi team (the name of the group is actually an iCloud scheduling) explains every step of the process on their website.
However, the hack as mentioned above indirectly allows the iPhone and iPad thieves to turn on the stolen devices to sell them on the black market.
"This amazing tool called doulCi can bypass iCloud Lock Activation and let you run your device again to get back your digital life, contacts, email, notes, etc." reports the team.
MerrukTechnolog & AquaXetine clarifies that the tool “doulCi was made only for personal use, and only for those whose mobile phone was hacked or forgot their login password.
To their credit, hackers reported vulnerability to Apple.
Maybe the release of iOS 7.1.2 after this hack is no longer necessary. It remains to see the reaction time of Apple.
