The developers behind darktable, an open source and cross-platform RAW image editor, have just announced the release and immediate availability for λήψη of version 2.0.
The program is free and designed for GNU / Linux systems as well as various UNIX platforms such as BSD and Mac OS X operating.
According to notes of the new version, the darktable 2.0 brings a huge number of technical changes, support for new digital cameras, and many other interesting goodies. However, the most important change than all is that darktable has been encoded for GTK3.

In addition to the above changes, darcable 2.0 has added support for many new digital cameras, including Canon PowerShot G5 X, Olympus SP320, Panasonic DMC-FZ150 (3: 2), Panasonic DMC-FZ70 (1: 1, 3: 2, 16: 9, 72: 1), Panasonic DMC-FZ1 (3: 2, 16: 9, 7: 1) GX1 (3: 2), Panasonic DMC-LF16 (9: 8, 4: 3, 1: 3), and Sony DSC-RX2M16.
In addition, there are new white balance presets for Canon EOS M3, Canon EOS-1D Mark III, Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III, Canon PowerShot G1 X, Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II, Canon PowerShot G15, Canon PowerShot G16, Canon PowerShot G3 X, PowerShot G5 Canon X, Canon PowerShot S110, Panasonic DMC-GX8, Panasonic DMC-LF1, and Pentax * ist DL2, as well as various Sony digital cameras.
Last but not least, the darupable 2.0 adds new noise features for Canon EOS M3, Fujifilm X-E1, Fujifilm X30, Nikon Coolpix P7700, Olympus E-M10 Mark II, Olympus E-M5 Mark II, Olympus E- PL3, Panasonic DMC-GX8, Panasonic DMC-LF1, Pentax K-50, Sony DSC-RX1, Sony DSC-RX10M2, Sony ILCE-77m2, Sony ILCE-7m2, Sony SLT-A7.
