A document leaked by the Mozilla Foundation shows a tablet with Firefox OS, TV stick, router, but also a computer keyboard.
Earlier this month, the Mozilla Foundation announced that Firefox OS smartphones will not be sold through carriers. The company declined to say what it plans for Firefox OS, except that they want to experiment with “connected devices.”
Today, we have a leaked document, which confirms what the Mozilla Foundation claimed.
The spill came from the Spanish hypertextual blog. The document, as you see, shows four new devices with Firefox OS: a tablet, a router, a smart TV stick, and a computer keyboard. VB asked the Mozilla Foundation for more information.
"At Mozilla we are working and still in the early stages of exploring and prototyping new uses for Firefox OS in the world of connected devices" said Denelle Dixon-Thayer, head of operations and legal at Mozilla. But what about the above? productthe?
"This document is an early concept of the project by one of our developers," confirms Dixon-Thayer. Like any tech company, Mozilla loves to experiment with new ideas. The company did not confirm that these projects are currently in progress, but only that the concept has been created by a developer.
So there is a chance we never see any of the devices that appear in the pictures.
The Mozilla Foundation did not report additional information, but we expect that at the next CES we will probably know exactly what it is preparing.
