Web search engine DuckDuckGo plans to launch an email protection service in the near future that will pass all incoming email through its servers to prevent ad companies from snooping on your inbox. That is, it will work similarly to Mozilla's service .

The new possibility of protecting the company's email provides users with a free "otidipote@duck.com" style email address, which will forward the emails to your regular inbox after analyzing their content for trackers and of course removing them. DuckDuckGo will also extend this feature with unique, one-time forwarding addresses that can be easily created in the mobile browser or through browser extensions.

DuckDuckGo personal email is intended to be given to your friends and contacts you know, and disposable addresses will serve wherever you sign up for free trials, newsletters or anywhere you suspect may sell your email address. So if the email address has been compromised, you can easily turn it off.

The company has a reputation for security and privacy since it has been running the corresponding one so far DuckDuckGo search engine focusing on the privacy of its users.

Email trackers exist in more than 70 percent of mailing lists, according to a 2017 study. Once implemented, they allow advertisers to understand when you open it mail, where you are when you open it, and what device you're using. Disabling trackers prevents the creation of a hidden personal advertising profile.

DuckDuckGo's new feature launches at beta and should be coming normally in a few weeks. Users who will build a Free DuckDuckGo email account here, they will be notified of the start of the service (currently an invitation is needed to create an email). DuckDuckGo users can only join the waiting list by downloading the official DuckDuckGo app for iOS or Android. You can find her in Settings > Email Protection (beta).

The company is also working on a desktop browser, which will focus on privacy, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2021.
