Amnesty International from the United Kingdom launched a campaign challenging President Obama USA, to withdraw the charges for espionage attributed to Edward Snowden.
To mark the two years since Edward Snowden announced the NSA's oversight activities, Amnesty International has stepped up its campaign to make the accusations against him.
Despite US efforts to issue him, Snowden remains in Russia but is unable to travel as his US passport has been revoked.
"Οι ενέργειες του Snowden άλλαξαν το πρόσωπο των ψηφιακών επικοινωνιών σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο. Χάρη σε αυτόν, γνωρίζουμε πλέον ότι οι κυβερνήσεις υποκλέπτουν και αποθηκεύουν από παντού ιδιωτικές πληροφορίες σε μαζική κλίμακα, χωρίς τη συγκατάθεσή μας", αναφέρει η Διεθνής Αμνηστία.
Speaking in a streamed interview on bdteam that passed, Snowden said he was happy to hear about the small success in the U.S. when Congress did not extend the law allowing mass phone surveillance by the NSA. But he added that things were moving in the opposite direction in the UK.

Let's mention that Edward Snowden faces up to 30 years of imprisonment if he returns to the US. Amnesty International says the price is shocking if one thinks that it has revealed human rights violations.
