Ehang will test the first passenger drone in Nevada

The Chinese company Ehang introduced its first electric passenger drone at CES in January. The company is now preparing to fly the world's first unmanned "unmanned aircraft" to Nevada later this year.EHang

Η εταιρεία συνεργάζεται με το Ινστιτούτο της Νεβάδα για αυτόνομα συστήματα (Nevada for Autonomous Systems ή NIAS) και το Governor Office of Economic Development (GOED) για να εξασφαλίσει τη ρυθμιστική έγκριση που χρειάζεται για το επερχόμενο Ehang 184.EH

The company states that μη επανδρωμένο αεροσκάφος της που ονομάζει “184”, θα είναι σε θέση να απογειώνεται κάθετα και να μεταφέρει έναν επιβάτη για 23 λεπτά σε υψόμετρο 11.500 ποδιών με 63 μίλια την ώρα στον προορισμό του και πουθενά αλλού from its destination.

Ehang will have to prove to the US Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) that the drone he has built is safe to use and that he can start operating with wider capabilities. So the company is preparing to conduct its testing on unmanned aircraft systems in the FAA Testing Area in Nevada.

Don't expect to see the 184 downtown anytime soon, though σε ρόλο αεροταξί. Λαμβάνοντας υπόψη ότι ακόμα δεν έχει καθοριστεί καλά καλά ένα πλαίσιο for simple drones, regulatory approval for Ehang's manned “unmanned” vehicle will probably be slow in coming.
