Elias Hantzos of Symantec among Young Global Leaders

Symantec ilias hatzosThe World Economic Forum announced the list of new members selected for the Young Global Leaders Forum. Among the 214 charismatic young personalities who have been recognized for their achievements and contribution to society is Mr. Ilias Chantzos, Senior Symantec Government Relations, Critical Infrastructure Protection and Privacy Advisor for the Middle East and Africa Europe region.

With his responsibilities in Symantec, Mr. Chantzos represents the company to government agencies, national authorities and international organizations, providing advice to public policy issues, with an emphasis on IT security and risk and availability management . Prior to this position at Symantec, Mr. Hantzos was responsible for the company's Government Affairs Programs for SE Europe, Asia Pacific and (APJ).

Ms Cheri McGuire, Symantec Global Governance Vice President, said after Mr Hantzos's election: "Elijah belongs to the Symantec family in the last 10 years and I am very happy about his election, proving his skills and his achievements both in the workplace and in society ".

The 2014 list of Young Global Leaders was formed by an initial number of 2.000 candidates evaluated by Heidrick & Struggles and were examined by a selection committee chaired by AM Queen Rani al-Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Candidates were assessed on the basis of specific criteria, including their past performance and commitment to the community.
