Anonymous just released data belonging to the European Space Agency (ESA). The team said they did the hack for fun, or as they refer to it “for the LulZ.”
The data leaked at JustPaste.it includes the database format of the ESA website (esa.int), along with details of registered users, affiliates, and subscribers.
The group claims to have hacked the domains due.esrin.esa.int, exploration.esa.int, and sci.esa.int, without defacing the websites. The hackers seem to have only hit the database.
The technical details reveal that ESA used one system Linux Debian, Apache, PHP and MySQL on one server, and a mix of ColdFusion and Oracle on another.
It should be mentioned that the leaked data for ESA subscribers includes passwords in plain text.
