ESET Hellas will be its sponsor Hellenic Cyber Security Group, of its official representation Greeces in the annual European Cybersecurity Challenge (ECSC) organized every year by ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency). This sponsorship underscores ESET's commitment to fostering cybersecurity talent and promoting excellence in cybersecurity practices.
The European Cybersecurity Competition is a prestigious competition aimed at identifying, attracting and promoting young talent aged 15 – 25 in the field of digital information systems and networks through the participation of each country's national teams. Competitors from all over Europe meet to network, collaborate and compete in various cyber security challenges such as Binary exploitation, Cryptography, Web exploitation, Digital Forensics, Reverse Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cloud, etc.
Led by the Systems Security Laboratory of the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus, represented by Professor K. Christos Xenakis, and under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Mediagovernments, the Hellenic Cyber Security Team is working with the Greek community to guide and inspire young people to excel in #ethicalhacking.
The group organizes annual national student competitions to identify and nurture cybersecurity talent from a young age. The selected candidates are put through a series of demanding tests and training sessions that begin immediately after the end of each annual event in order to prepare for the ECSC finals.
The European Cyber Security Competition will be held this year in Turin, Italy from 8 to 11 October. The competition will bring together top young cyber talent from across Europe to compete for the coveted ECSC award and network with leading cyber security industry organisations.
