The Directorate for the Prosecution of Electronic Crime, as part of a broad police operation, arrested two citizens, 35 and 27 years old, for pornography of minors via Internet. The two arrested kept an account on an Internet site, located abroad, in which there was material for sexual abuse of minors.
To identify them, they were conducted by the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate, at cooperation with Europol and the FBI, targeted actions and investigations
The Electronic Crime Investigation Directorate, in collaboration with Europol and the FBI, investigated a case of child pornography, and two 2 nationals, 35 and 27, were arrested in the framework of a large police operation, at the expense of which an autopsy case for juvenile pornography via Internet.
In particular, the investigation of the case started after the Electronic Crime Prosecution Communication with the National Unit Europol. According to her, Europol, in cooperation with the American Authorities (FBI), conducted a targeted operation on an Internet site located abroad, where there was material for sexual abuse of minors.
As it turned out, the case involved Greek internet users. For this reason, the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office (FBI) cooperated with the American Authorities (FBI) in order to identify the electronic management traces for the accounts created by the perpetrators on the above-mentioned website.
A thorough digital investigation was carried out by the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate research and analysis of case data and evidence. In this context, after removing the confidentiality of the communications and contacting the competent internet and telecommunications service providers, the aforementioned perpetrators were identified as the administrators of the accounts under investigation.
Morning hours yesterday (6-4-2015), police escorts conducted legal surveys in their homes in Attica and Piraeus.
In the surveys, hundreds of thousands of files (photos and videos) - total size over 1 TB (Terabyte) - hard child pornography material were found in digital storage media, and the perpetrators were arrested in the spontaneous process.
Found and seized in total:

laptop computer.
The seized digital testimonies will be sent to the Criminal Investigation Division for the necessary laboratory tests and analyzes.
The two (2) arrested, with their filed case file, are brought to the appropriate Prosecutor's Office. Any involvement of other Greek users on the site in question is being investigated.
