Arne Exton announced the latter version of the ExTiX operating system “The Ultimate Linux System” that comes with Refracta Tools. This particular one tool allows you to build your own Ubuntu distro.
Refracta Tools is installed by ExTiX by default Build 17.5 170508. You can use the tool to easily create your own GNU / Linux distribution, with predefined packages and customized settings to suit your needs.
The new version, ExTiX 17.7, comes with the Budgie interface and features the Refracta Tools to reinstall the operating system.
“I have made a new extra version of ExTiX with desktop Budgie. Budgie focuses on simplicity and elegance and is designed with the modern user in mind. In ExTiX it is installed with the minimum packages. They are the packages you will need, even when you run the Live version of ExTiX Budgie, i.e. from a DVD or a USB stick. The four ExTiX systems are based on Ubuntu and Debian. While running ExTiX Budgie 17.7 Live or from a hard drive you can use Refracta Tools (which is pre-installed) to build your own Ubuntu system.”
