FabSpace 2.0 seeks to bring together civil society, industry, the academic and research community and the public sector, in a research with a high expected socio-economic impact.

Τα Κέντρα Ανοικτής Καινοτομίας θα παρέχουν a one-stop shop for students, researchers and the general public, giving access to a range of materials, tools, machines and data with the aim of creating new innovative applications. 

Within the three-year duration of the project, training seminars for students and researchers will also be carried out, 18 hackathons will be organized at local level and 3 at European level to develop new applications that will help to enhance the entrepreneurship of the domestic space industry .

Corallia, the helper of the si-Cluster, is responsible for organizing all the hackathons that will highlight the best ideas that can be transformed into business. The NTUA is responsible for the operation of the Greek Open Innovation Center and the access of students and researchers to the tools and the training it will provide, while the Greek company Terra Spatium will contribute to the development of the platform.

The following organizations are also involved in the project: University Paul Sabatier Toulouse, Aerospace Valley, University Degli Studi Di Roma Torvergata, ESA BIC Lazio, University De Liege, WSl – ESA BIC Wallonie Redu, Technische Universitaet Darmstadt, ESA Bic Darmstadt, Politechnika Warszawska, Opegieka, EBG.

In the context of FabSpace, EMTU will carry out actions for the and training of young scientists but also their active participation in activities where a realistic connection will be made with all the above components of innovation, with the final goal of a more holistic and global understanding of today's and future working conditions".
