Facebook today started rolling out a feature to some users that will let them know if their data they leaked in the highly acclaimed Cambridge Analytica scandal.
Facebook has promised to alert users whose data may have been used for political gain.
According to Wired, starting at 7 A.M. on Tuesday, some Facebook users will begin to see two messages on top of it their news feed. One message will refer to Cambridge Analytica, while the other will focus on privacy, data, and control of the applications they use on Facebook.
So if you or a Facebook friend had tried the "This is Your Digital Life" quiz used by Cambridge Analytica to steal data, you will see the following message:
We have banned the "This is Your Digital Life" page, which may have been used by one of your Facebook friends. You can learn more about what happened and how you can remove any other application and page if you no longer want to have access to your Facebook information. ”
If Cambridge Analytica didn't have access to your data, Facebook will take you through the settings so you can better protect your information on the social network and from countless applications of.
