If you're one of those people who constantly uploads photos to Facebook, you'll know how useful this feature is automaticς signalnsis.
As Facebook seems to be continuing with the development of the algorithm to improve the face recognition feature, and now it works so well that you do not even have to see your face to recognize you!
According to New Scientist, the team artificialFacebook's intelligence team is developing an experimental facial recognition algorithm to recognize people, even when their faces are unclear, using many other details it has collected.
"You can easily recognize Mark Zuckerberg because he always wears a gray T-shirt," said Yann LeCun, the team leader.
In the same way, people are often able to recognize others without seeing their face.
Facebook reports that the new algorithm is still in the experimental stage but can identify people with a success rate of up to 83%.
The larger social network does not specify the conditions, from which it is able to recognize persons without seeing them, but the success rate sounds rather large.
