Except for her addition modes for SMS messages, the Messenger app seems to be continuing its efforts to separate itself from the main Facebook app.
So today it has been re-designed to add a new Home page so you can see which of your friends are online, which ones have a short birthday, and who you are used to chatting with.
Let's see the additions to the new app's initial appearance.
The redesign was done to get more information to the end user, so you can continue the conversations you have left, or start new ones with people you are often involved in.
So below the navigation bar, you will also see more tabs like calls, contacts, groups, but also your own personal profile.
Previously, when you opened the app, the bar was at the top, and you could see all the latest conversations you had with your friends.
The top line is now replaced with a line search, which brings Facebook search to the Messenger app.
