Facebook has just announced a boost to its standalone Facebook Messenger app with freebies calls βίντεο. Τη κυκλοφορία του νέου προϊόντος για το Facebook πραγματοποίησαν οι Stan Chudnovsky, Head of Product της εφαρμογής Messenger και ο Param Reddy, Engineering Managers.
"Video calling on Messenger is coming today for users του iOS και του Android στο Βέλγιο, τον Καναδά, την Κροατία, τη Δανία, τη Γαλλία, την Ελλάδα, την Ιρλανδία, το Λάος, τη Λιθουανία, το Μεξικό, τη Νιγηρία, τη Νορβηγία, το Ομάν, την Πολωνία, την Πορτογαλία, το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, τις ΗΠΑ , και την Ουρουγουάη,”
The developer Facebook Messenger Stan Chudnovsky and Technical Director Param Reddy wrote in the statement:
"It will be released in other countries in the coming months."
Android apps and iOS app stores have not yet been updated with the new feature.
This traffic seems to make sense when you think about Facebook's growing focus on the Messenger standalone application. Last month, at the F8 Developer Conference, Facebook unveiled its new Messenger Platform, and a little later announced the first Application web client.
So it was probably expected to add video calls to Messenger as Facebook sees Snapchat's move to continue to grow.
In addition, there is also a live Twitter feature from Periscope and Meerkat startup.
