The Facebook allegedly continues to control all of the applications
As we mentioned in an earlier post Facebook also allows you to edit all privacy settings in apps and games that you are using.
Of course, it first took the Cambridge Analytica scandal to mobilize the largest social network. The results should be clear to everyone if Facebook wants to regain the trust of platform users.
But let's look at what Facebook has done so far to protect the privacy of its members.
The following is the publication of the social network, starting with the data leakage page:
From the new page Facebook Help to see if your details were shared with Cambridge Analytica from the application "This Is Your Digital Life".

- We will notify you if you abuse your data from an application. From now on, if we remove an app due to data abuse, we will notify all users of that app. We are also creating a tool that will allow you to see if it has been acquired access to your data “thisisyourdigitallife”, the app that sent data to Cambridge Analytica in violation of our platform policies.
- We simplify the administration of the applications we use. We have already shown you which apps your account is connected to and what data you have allowed these applications to use. From now on, you will be able to find and manage these options more easily with the help of a tool that will appear at the beginning of your Updates.
- We disable access to data from applications you do not use. If you have not used an app within the last 3 months, we will disable this app's access to your information.
- We are limiting the data needed to connect via Facebook. We are changing the way the connection works in order to limit the data that applications can request if they have not passed the test. Apps will now only be able to request your name, profile image, and email address. In order to request any other details, they must have secured our approval.
As we focus on implementing these changes, we have temporarily stopped approving apps. We are responsible for protecting your data and we are committed to protecting this data and making our platform even safer.
