Facebook activated the “Safety Check” feature after the horrific incidents attacks carried out by terrorists in Paris.
With this feature, as you may already know, members of the social network can be informed and informed friends and family that everything is good (or not).
This feature first appeared in 2011, in response to the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
The Safety Check feature allowed them people who was in the area, to not only inform their loved ones that they are safe and sound, but also to check in on the affected area to signal that other friends are safe as well.
The function has since been used in every physics disaster, such as the earthquakes in Nepal and Chile.
This, of course, is the first time that it will be used for a devastating unnatural event.
