The Facebook Media Solutions API allows applications to return the count of posts with hashtags. This feature is available to a limited set of developers who develop solutions for media companies. Developers can request to subscribe to contentolutions@fb.com by e-mail.
In addition, the social network has a partnership with Datasift, a service that enables applications to search and receive anonymous and aggregated information from Facebok.
