The testing of a new feature - a "buy" button - which is intended to help businesses increase sales through Facebook News Feed and Pages (Pages).
As pointed out in a related Facebook announcement, users on desktop or mobile devices can press the "Buy" button on ads and publications on Pages to buy one directly product from a business, without leaving the social network.
“We built this feature with privacy in mind, and we've taken steps to make the payment experience secure. No credit or debit card details that people share on Facebook when they complete a pluschange it will not be shared with other advertisers, and users will be able to choose whether they want to save details payments for future purchases' is mentioned in this regard.
Tests currently have to do with some small and medium-sized businesses in the US, with Facebook assuring that it will release new information as it gathers feedback.
