FBI: POS malware will continue to grow

After the violations suffered by Target, Neiman Marcus and other retail companies of , the FBI warns that more such cyberattacks should be expected.

In a three-page report sent to U.S. retailers, the FBI warns that "crimes with POS malware will continue to increase in the near future, despite law enforcement and security operations to mitigate it."

In accordance with Reuters , the report warns businesses about “configuration-memory” which is specifically designed to infect point-of-sale (POS) systems. You'll also hear it like RAM scraper after it intervenes in the memory to retrieve data and not to some recording hardware such as hard disks, etc.The fact that this malware is readily available, coupled with the great profit it can give to its owner, has attracted the attention of a wide range of people.
