The Silk Road 2, was the replacement of the notorious on-line drug-market which ended in October of 2013. According to TheVerge, the FBI and the US Department of Homeland Security have managed to close Silk Road 2. The hidden site and its forum stopped working, and now a FBI page is displayed. 
In a public statement, the FBI said that administrator Blake Benthall ("Defcon”) στην Καλιφόρνια την Τετάρτη. According to the FBI, Silk Road 2 had approximately 150.000 active users and was doing $8.000.000 in sales per month as of September 2014. The site's shutdown was made possible when an undercover agent managed to infiltrate and gain access to administrative functions. They were in regular communication with Benthall who had built his confidence. If convicted, Benthall faces up to life in prison.
