Matthew Miller announced the release of the new Fedora 31 release. The new release includes a special isolated container feature called Fedora Toolbox.
“If you haven't used the Fedora Toolbox, it will be really cool to try it. It is a simple tool to start and management των προσωπικών σας χώρων εργασίας σε container, έτσι ώστε να μπορείτε να αναπτύξετε ή να δοκιμάσετε σε μια απομονωμένη περιοχή. Τρέχει πολύ απλά με ένα “toolbox” και ένα enter από τη γραμμή εντολών. Η ροή εργασιών σε containers είναι ζωτικής σημασίας για τους users of ostree variants of the Fedora distribution such as CoreOS, IoT and Silverblue, but it is also extremely useful on any workstation or even server.
The next space we will be developing this feature further, so your feedback is welcome.
The Fedora Workstation operating system focuses on surface work and specific software developers who want a “Linux operating system that just works”.
This release brings GNOME 3.34, which has significant performance improvements, and they are particularly noticeable on devices with minimal pconditions. "
The announcement mentions more details for anyone interested.
Fedora distribution is available in Workstation and Server versions but also in many different versions turned that have been developed by the community.
