Matthew Miller announced the release of the new version Fedora 31. The new version includes a special isolated container feature called Fedora Toolbox.
“If you haven't used the Fedora Toolbox, it will be really cool to try it. It is a simple tool formovement and managing your personal containerized workspaces so you can develop or test in an isolated area. It runs very simply with a “toolbox” and an enter from the command line. Containerized workflow is crucial for users of ostree variants of the Fedora distribution such as CoreOS, IoT, and Silverblue, but it is also extremely useful on any workstation or even server.
Next time we will develop this feature further, so your comments are welcome.
The Fedora Workstation operating system focuses on desktop and specific developers software who want a “Linux operating system that just works”.
This release brings the GNOME 3.34, which has significant performance improvements, and is particularly noticeable on devices with minimal resources. ”
The announcement mentions more details for anyone interested.
Fedora distribution is available in Workstation and Server versions but also in many different versions turned that have been developed by the community.
