In a previous post we mentioned that the Mozilla Foundation added an extremely useful one feature command line to Firefox. It's the eyedropper command that allows you to grab the HTML code for the color you're interested in from a web page. So you won't need to install anymore tools third parties or add-ons, since you will be able to do it directly from the website while browsing with Firefox.
Let's see how it works
Open the Firefox browser and press the keys together Shift + F2. Firefox will open a command line at the bottom of your screen.
Type the following text in the command pane just opened:
eyedropper
Once you press the Enter key on your keyboard, your mouse pointer will turn into a round zoom preview window. Drag it just above the desired color to see the HTML color code! When you click this box again, the color code will be automatically copied to your clipboard so you can paste it wherever you want.
The eyedropper command is really useful for designers using Adobe Photoshop or for those who write their own CSS on their web pages. It's really a quick way to get a code of the color you're interested in. Enjoy the new feature.
