A new rather tempting scam is circulating on Facebook “win one Ford Mustang 2013 ".
The message was posted on its pages Facebook who claim to be from Ford and states:
"For the first time in its history Facebook we give one Ford Mustang to one lucky winner that we will select on October 21st by lottery. Would you like to join this amazing giveaway and win a new Mustang? Just follow the steps below to join the competition. "
Potential victims should "like" the site, post it on their "wall" and leave a comment stating the color of their choice.
As he says Hoax Slayer, the contest is fake. No one will win the Ford Mustang. Scammers on the other hand collect "likes" which they can sell on the black market to be used for advertising purposes (Like Farming).
Its official website Ford Mustang on Facebook he has 5,5 millions members and of course does not mention any Giveaway.
Currently, there are several 2013 Ford Mustang pages on Facebook to promote the fake contest. Some of them already gathered over 10.000 likes.
