On a corporate computer, where users were required to convert a pdf file to word, in order to later process it, we found ourselves in a dilemma that this could be done quickly, easily and with proper Greek.
Of course, due to the fact that the computer was in-company and not private, the first requirement was that it should not be installed in any way, no "cracked" program, nor any that would be freeware for private individuals and at the same time require payment for companies.
So we found ourselves searching the internet for 100% free programs (for both individuals and companies), or for shareware programs (where we would have to install them shortly after using them) or finally for free online programs.
Believe us, we tried a lot, in some they gave us the opportunity to convert only 20% of the pdf and then they demanded payment, in others the Greek font was for crying and in others they asked for emails for fear that the spams αρχ would start later….
We found these two online for free tools, because they did our job for us:
quickly, no installation of a program,
safe, without the need to write a contact email and so we avoided spams, plus that the files that came to us had no kind, virus, malware, advertising, etc. Especially at this point we chose online services from companies that marketed their programs and not everything was completely free. The sale of these programs indicates that there is a serious company behind the free online services and we have not fallen for some clever hackers.

Of course, as you will see they have some limits – limits on what you will send them but we think they are quite large and cover a wide range of pdf texts.
