The German security company G Data has just released the Secure Chat application for Android. What does the application do? The free version supports three key features:
- Supports encrypted SMS,
- Encrypted group conversations and
- Messages that self-destruct after a specified time space.
The application requires several rights, but most, if not all, seem reasonable for an application of its kind.
The G Data application requires your account to be verified via SMS verification, which will allow you to use the same account in other Appliances, including.
The process is automated. If it fails, you will be able to verify with a voice call.
Once you are done with the initial settings, you will be able to support all of them functions which we mentioned above.
The application works mostly just like any other text messaging application is currently running. Click the plus (+) icon to select a contact from your contact list to send a message. If the recipient does not have Secure Chat installed, the application will send SMS without encryption.
The feature of self-destructing messages only works if all recipients use Secure Chat and not just SMS.
You can try the app from Google Play.
